🚫Travel to Azerbaijan is not currently permitted for Armenia citizens

Armenia and Azerbaijan have no diplomatic relations and their shared border is closed, and Azerbaijan does not admit Armenian passport holders — so ordinary travel from Armenia to Azerbaijan is not possible.

Armenia and Azerbaijan have had no diplomatic relations and a closed land border since the conflict of the early 1990s. Azerbaijan does not admit holders of Armenian passports, and in practice also refuses entry to people of Armenian descent regardless of their nationality. Separately, Azerbaijan bars — and may prosecute — any traveller of any nationality who has visited the Nagorno-Karabakh region without Azerbaijani authorisation. A peace-treaty framework between the two countries was initialled in 2025, so this position could change; verify the current rules with Azerbaijan’s State Migration Service before making any plans.

Because of this restriction, there is no Azerbaijan ASAN eVisa — USD 25; 3 working days; single entry; 30-day stay application process available for Armenia passport holders. Entry rules and diplomatic relations can change — always confirm the current position with the official authorities of both countries before making any plans.
